Function / Content

This series consists of a register of garden areas and dredging claims on the Agicondi goldfield. Includes entries in the following columns; number, total number of shares, date of application, date of registration, class of holding, area applied for, area surveyed and date of survey, registration fee and rent, survey fee, locality and description of boundaries, registered shareholders, transfers, encumbrances, exemptions, and rent. The volume is divided into two sections to record details of; garden areas (folio nos 1-19, nos 1A-16A, 1945-1957) and dredging claims (folio nos 31-32, nos 1A, DC1A, 1956). A handwritten note on the back flyleaf states blank folio nos 96-97 were removed in 1954 and given as examples for new registers to be printed by the Government Printer.
