This series consists of one register in six volumes recording applications for machinery areas and mining claims outside of proclaimed goldfields [OPF]. The register recorded the number, the total number of shares, the date of application and registration, the class of holding - in this case machinery areas and mining claims, the area applied for, the area surveyed and the date of the survey, registration fee and rent, survey fee, locality and description of boundaries, date certificate issued, registered shareholder details, details of transfers, details of encumbrances, exemptions and rent. The records of mineral claims also record the type of mineral such as copper, nickel, lead, zinc, antimony, barium, cadmium, mercury, silver, tin, uranium and wolfram.
