This series consists of a file of tribute agreements registered under the Northern Territory Mining Act 1903 and allocated a number. The agreements detail the tribute (money or ore) paid to the leaseholder for another miner to work the claim or buy it. The following tribute agreements are missing from the file, 23, 28, 36, 48-50, 52, 61, 75-85 and 91-107. Included in this file is a tribute agreement (number 116) made between Benjamin Esmond Nicker (prospector) and Samuel Irvine (mail contractor) regarding the Anningie Reward Claim.
