This series consists of files relating to plaints in the Tennant Creek Warden's Court. These files contain affidavits of service, notices of defence, plaint notes, statements, summons, warden's orders and related correspondence. The matters covered related to all aspects of mining in the Tennant Creek region including the forfeiture of leases, disputes over wages, revisions and enforcement of contract, false statements, tribute agreements and various failures to comply with the Northern Territory Mining Act 1903. A number of files within this series are cases brought before the Warden by Fazal Deen, who was, at the time of the creation of this series, a storekeeper and miner in Tennant Creek.
