This series consists of one register recording applications for mining leases outside proclaimed goldfields. [District OPF] The register records the total number of shares, the date of application and registration, the class of holding - in this case mining lease, the area applied for, the area surveyed and the date of the survey, registration fee and rent, survey fee, locality and description of boundaries, date certificate issued, registered shareholder details, details of transfers, details of encumbrances, exemptions and rent. Areas include Inverway Station, Delamere Downs, Gove Peninsula, Roper Bar and Laguna Station. The minerals involved have been recorded at the top of each entry in most instances and include tin, uranium, copper, zinc, lead, silver, wolfram, nickel, cobalt, basalt, and gemstones amonst the minerals mined. An alphabetical listing of numbers and names in very poor condition is taped inside the front cover.
