Function / Content

This series consists of a combined register for survey plans relating to cadastral maps, mining, and roads. Details of land surveys relating to identifying property boundaries (cadastral maps) were recorded on pages 1-10, and captured in 7 columns titled; number, surveyor, FB [field book], date received, corr [correspondence] and date duplicate forwarded to Registrar-General, public plan, and subject. An extra column called "neg. no." was added before the number column. The date range of the entries is 19/1/1928-21/8/1957. The "A" Plans section (p.11) consists of 4 columns titled; number, surveyor, public plan, and subject. There is one entry only with a note to "see Diagram Register Book". This register is available in NTRS 2440. The mining surveys section (p.80) includes 6 columns titled; number, surveyor, FB [field book], date received, lease no, and subject. The date range for this section is 27/4/1943-5/11/1943. There are 3 sections relating to roads with a combined date range of 22/2/1950-12/4/1965, including; road plans (pp.92-97), opening of roads register (p.98), and road closure plans (pp.100-101). Road plans entries are recorded in the following 8 columns; plan number, locality, description, gazette, opening, closing, conf.,and file. The opening of roads register is divided into 6 columns including; description, plan no, notified, opened, gazettal, and Lands file. The road closure plans section is divided into 8 columns; description, plan no, 1st gaz. [gazette], 2nd gaz, 3rd gaz, 4th gaz, order to close, and confirmation.
