This series consists of files relating to the payment of royalties on the sale of gold, mineral or metal produced from mining tenements. The files contain correspondence, royalty returns and related financial statements. The Returns were filed under the NT Mining Act 1903 and associated regulations until 1940, and from 1940 onwards they were filed under regulation 214 of the Mining Ordinance 1939.
