This series consists of a register recording the surveyor field book information for land surveyed in the Northern Territory. The land tenure system in use was known as hundreds, where land was denoted by section number and by its hundred name. The register contains a one-page alphabetical index to the hundreds (name and page). The register is then kept in numerical order for each hundred. Each page contains the following columns; no. of section, area, diag., FB [field book], and page FB [page in the field book]. The name and number of the hundreds recorded in this register includes; Bagot (1), Hutchison (2), Guy (3), Strangways (4), Ayers (5), Hart (6), Hughes (7), Cavenagh (8), Colton (9), Howard (10), Goyder (11), Finniss (12), Blyth (13), Milne (14), Waterhouse (15), Glyde (16), Beaconsfield (17), Reynolds (22), Sanderson (24), Bray (26), Bundey (28), Selwyn (29), and Hawkshaw (30). Numbers 18-21, 25, and 27 are not included. There are also entries for the Channel Islands and "Out of Hundreds" which includes the subdivision of lands to a township on the "Lower Roper".
