This series consists of one register in four volumes recording applications for mineral claims in the Tennant Creek District. [District E] The title varies for Volume 1 - Mining Tenements Register and Volume 4 - Mineral Claims. Each volume of the register records the total number of shares, the date of application and registration, the class of holding - in this case mineral claim, the area applied for, the area surveyed and the date of the survey, registration fee and rent, survey fee, locality and description of boundaries, date certificate issued, registered shareholder details, details of transfers, details of encumbrances, exemptions and rent. Some of the registrations closely define the mineral claim to a particular mineral such as copper.
