The Barrow Creek Register is located on pages 249-250 of the register. The associated index is in the back of the register.

Function / Content

This series consists of a register of applications for protected mining leases in the Tennant Creek and Barrow Creek areas.. The Tennant Creek index (inside front cover) is by name, lease number and then mine name, lease number. The Barrow Creek Register has been started in the back of the book and then crossed out and information moved to the Alice Springs and Barrow Creek register. The register includes; number, date, hour, name of applicants, name and situation of lease applied for, area in acres, annual rent and protection fee, period of protection (rent paid to), remarks. Notes have been added in red for when the lease has lapsed, been withdrawn, surrendered or reapplied for under another application after the initial information applied to the register.
