This series consists of a Head Office register of residential leases and machinery leases, District F [Kurundi, Barrow Creek], and residential leases and machinery leases, District H [Arunta, Alice Springs]. Column titles include; number, total number of shares, locality, area, application, lease, name of lease, registered lessees, transfers, exemptions, rent, and survey fee. The volume contains entry nos.RL1F-RL5F (page nos 1-5), no.RL1H (page no.100), no.machL1H (page no.101), and no.machL1F (page no.150). The nine goldfields in the Northern Territory were identified by district as; A (Agicondi), B (Waggaman), C (McArthur River), D (Maranboy), E (Warramunga), F (Kurundi), G (Granites), H (Arunta), and K (Daly River). The Mines Branch, Head Office was moved to Alice Springs during the period 1942-1953, and then moved back to Darwin. The Mines Branch, Alice Springs was re-established in 1953.
