Function / Content

This series consists of registers of assays. Each register records the sample and parcel number, the name of the mine, the owner of the mine, in some cases the date lodged and asssayed, and the penny weights assayed both in Tennant Creek and any check assays done in in Darwin. Register No. 3 also has Battery Log information at the front of the register giving running details and the driver's signature. This register gives the percentages of minerals assayed rather than penny weights.
