Function / Content

This series consists of Northern Territory Transmission applications. A Transmission Application is an application for the transfer of title to land consequent on the death of a sole proprietor or tenant in common following the grant of probate or letters of administration. Each envelope has the following information: On Her Majesty's Service, Registrar-General of Deeds Department and date, number hand written and the person's name/names. The paperwork inside each envelope includes: Application to be Registered Proprietor of Lands in the Northern Territory under the Provisions of section 79 of the Real Property Act of 1861 and Pursuant to Clause No. (Memorandum of Transfer from crossed out) All other paperwork inside each envelope varies between solicitors.
