Function / Content

This series consists of correspondence files, leases and reports related to the administration of and dealings by the Lands and Survey Department, later to become the Lands and Survey Branch of the Northern Territory Administration. Maps and plans accompany some of the reports and correspondence, as with the file of correspondence related to the proposed quarters for radio staff involving a change in proposed use for a block of land adjoining the botanic gardens. The accompanying architectural plan was stamped 18/01/1919 by the Director of Naval Works.
