Function / Content

This series consists of documents relating to the disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain at Ayers Rock (Uluru) on 17th August 1980. The Territory Parks and Wildlife/Conservation Commission were responsible for the management of the park until 1985. This series includes botanical reports and research into the botanical material found on Azaria's jumpsuit. The documents produced by summons included the ranger's radio log book for Ayer's Rock (5/3/1980-29/10/1980), monthly reports mentioning dingo presence at Uluru, incidents relating to dingoes and visitors, and management of related dingo behaviour and numbers, as well as extracts from ranger Derek Roff and letters from public regarding dingoes.
