How to Use the Records

The volumes are divided into a number of sections: sorting data by types of brands, animals and alphabetically by name of owner or property.

Function / Content

This series consists of draft copies of Northern Territory brands directories, compendiums of information regarding livestock brands and earmarks. Draft directories have the dates changed and notations of changes which need to be included about newly registered, transferred or cancelled brands. They also provide instructions and regulations, such as those given for the earmarking of livestock.
