Function / Content

This series consists of a register of water supplies in the Northern Territory including bores, wells and natural waters. The information was arranged alphabetically by locality (Alexandria Station to Walhallow), and then in the following columns; locality, year completed, number of bore, name of bore, depth of bore, depth water struck, water rises to, daily flow in gallons, temper/fahr, cost of construction, equipment, and remarks. Section O contains a list of Overland Telegraph wells between Tennant Creek and Alice Springs including the following information; name of well, distance, depth in feet, supply (gallons per 24 hours), and remarks.
