Function / Content

This series consists of case dockets and files for the Court of Summary Jurisdiction. The matters dealt with include supplying and drinking liquor, assault, larceny and receiving stolen property. The files consist of pages stapled together with a Complaint or Information for an Indicatable Offence form. The reverse of the folio records the file number Police versus name of the defendant, description of the offence and outcome. In some cases the files contain statements and supporting documents relating to the offence/s. Some language used in these records (which reflects the language used at the time the records were created) may be offensive. This series may contain references to Aboriginal people who have died, which may cause sadness and distress to their relatives. No offence has been intended by making these records available.
