This series consists of applications for substitution of name of applicant for mining leases in the Tennant Creek region including Hatches Creek. These files consist of forms which include, on the first-half, information about the name of the original lease-holder, the type of mining lease held and its number, the amount of land it comprises (in acres), the locality and location in relation to other landmarks/mining lease, the name of the mine and the names of the individual or company that the lease is being transferred to; these details are then signed by the lease-holder. The second-half of the form includes the new lease-holders acceptance of the lease and their signature. Applications that relate to the Central Australia Silver Lead and Copper Mining Company are written in letter form and include the use of the common seals of the companies involved.
