This series consists of registers of prospecting areas for silver lead, copper, wolfram and gold on the Arunta (Alice Springs) goldfield. Column titles include; number, total number of shares, description of ground, area, application, registration fee, extension of registration fee, registered owner (name, miner's right, number of shares), transfers (number, date, transferee, number of shares), exemption (number, from, to), date of permit to crush and quantity, crushings (date, ore treated, gold therefrom), and encumbrances. Volume 1 includes entries for prospecting areas nos PA1H-PA101H; volume 2 contains entries for nos PA102H-PA200H; volume 3 records nos PA201H-PA300H; and volume 4 includes details of nos PA302H-PA370H. The nine goldfields in the Northern Territory were identified by district as; A (Agicondi), B (Waggaman), C (McArthur River), D (Maranboy), E (Warramunga), F (Kurundi), G (Granites), H (Arunta), and K (Daly River).
