This series consists of reports relating to records of all gold and mineral lease applications. The reports relate to leases from below the 20th parallel, lease applications in Alice Springs district (particulars showing in Darwin registers as on 01/05/1936), mining lease applications in force and applied for at Alice Springs since 01/01/1927 and a list of gold and mineral leases transferred from Darwin on 09/03/1928 with some correspondence included. The majority of these reports are map sized and folded. These reports were compiled as the result of an audit enquiry, see letter on file [dated 13/09/1936]. The reports relating to records of all gold and mineral lease applications from below the 20th parallel were compiled by Mining Warden, District B, PJ Muldoon. The reports outlining lease applications in Alice Springs district were compiled by Norman Bell, Director of Mines and Chief Warden. The mining lease applications in force and applied for at Alice Springs since 01/01/1927 reports were compiled by JC Lovegrove, Warden.
