This series consists of correspondence files created for the application for and licence renewal of high powered firearms or pistols with HP prefix within the Northern Territory. Each file contains: the application for a licence, if approved with the licence number listed and signed by the Commissioner of Police, receipt or declaration of purchase of firearm with the particulars (type, colour, serial number) of the firearm, renewals of licence and inspection of the firearm if in condition for use with the officer of the police station indicating such for renewal, destruction of the high powered firearm or pistol with the particulars (type, colour, serial number).
