Function / Content

This series consists of a register in two volumes of prospecting areas for mineral leases on the Waggaman goldfield (Darwin). Prospects included those for tin, tantalite, gold, uranium, silver, lead, zinc, bismuth, limestone, copper, silica, wolfram, manganese and columbite - the particular mineral being defined in the heading for each entry. Each page of the register records the application number, the total number of shares, the description of ground, area, date of application, registration dates, the fee paid, extension of registration, date of certificate issue, registered owner, miner's right number and date, transfers, exemption, crushing details and encumbrances.
