This series consist of minutes which document decisions made by the Primary Producers' Board between 1933 and 1957. The minutes were in three groupings, which have been retained: 2 Oct 1953 - 10 Feb 1957 (incomplete run; no index) 6 March 1941 - 20 Feb 1951(incomplete run; no index) 28 July 1933 - 18 July 1939 (complete run; indexed) The functions of the Board were to give financial assistance to producers in matters of machinery, fencing and like materials and also to provide rations for limited periods, as well as seeds, fishing nets and boats, as required, and, for the timber industry and other purposes the Board made advances.
