Function / Content

This series consists of the police investigation records relating to the disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain on 17 August 1980 at Ayers Rock. The period of investigation covers the first inquest in 1980, Operation Ochre (which ran from 1981-1982), the second inquest and 1982 trial of Lindy and Michael Chamberlain for murder and accessory after the fact, the appeals against the convictions, the Royal Commission into the Chamberlain Convictions in 1986, and third inquest.
