This series consists of telex messages relating to permits for entry into Darwin after Cyclone Tracy. The messages were between the Entry Permits Section, Department of Northern Territory and the Department of Labour and Immigration interstate offices. Requests for permits contain the following information; name of applicant, occupation, reason for visit (for example, returning to work, or to collect possessions and leave permanently). This series also includes telexes with police stations outside of Darwin, and interstate police. Matters dealt with include the identification of victims.
