Function / Content

This series consists of Northern Territory Police gazettes which contain instructions, orders, and information. A notice was printed on the gazettes stating the publication was confidential and was issued for the information of the Police only. NTRS 1456/P1 includes the original signed copies of the first gazettes issued in 1949. These early gazettes were published monthly. NTRS 1456/P2 includes indexes for subjects and photographs. The gazettes published during 1966-1971 were issued fortnightly. Gazettes for the period 1956-1965 are not held.
