Function / Content

This series consists of the diary of the survey party led by George Woodfroffe Goyder (South Australian Surveyor-General) to survey land in the Northern Territory. The party of 62 men arrived on the Moonta on 5 February 1869 and set up camp at Fort Hill. The diary covers the period from 5 February 1869 to 1 March 1869 and provides a daily log of activities of the party including the health of the party, livestock and description of the land.
