Function / Content

This series consists of returns of agricultural, dairying and pastoral statistics collected for the Commonwealth Government. The returns were completed annually and include details of; persons working permanently full-time on the holding (numbers of males and females), wages paid to temporary male employees, cultivation areas and yields, vegetables harvested, area fertilised, area irrigated, machinery on holding, and livestock (including poultry and bees). The files include correspondence and returns for Adelaide River, Grove Hill, Katherine, Pine Creek, and the Darwin region.
