Function / Content

This series consists of a register of pastoral leases, grazing licences, and pastoral permits relating to the following areas; Darwin and Gulf, Victoria River, Barkly Tablelands, and Alice Springs. The volume was divided into three parts; pastoral leases (page nos. 1-19), grazing licences (page nos. 20-35), and pastoral permits (page no. 37). Each part contains the following details for each geographical area; lease (or permit) number, area, and progressive total area. The pastoral lease number range for each area is; nos. 103-2509 (Darwin and Gulf), nos. 110-2477 (Victoria River), nos. 113-2487 (Barkly Tablelands), and nos. 101c-2520 (Alice Springs). The grazing licence number range for each area is; nos. 192-1349 (Darwin and Gulf), nos. 165-1342 (Victoria River), nos. 728-1341 (Barkly Tablelands), and nos. 850-1344 (Alice Springs). The pastoral permit number range for each area is; no. 208a (Darwin and Gulf), and nos. 178-279 (Victoria River).
