Function / Content

This series consists of holding schedules used by the Chief Surveyor as a basis for initiating action on the acquisition of lands in the Darwin area by the Commonwealth for replanning and development, and the resale of improvements. The three schedules relate to the town of Darwin (99 folios), suburban sections of the town of Darwin (15 folios), and the Hundreds of Bagot and Sanderson (14 folios) and were recorded in numerical order by holdings number. The schedule pages are divided into columns for; holding number, owner's name and address, description, reference to title (lease number, and volume and folio number), and valuation.
