This series consists of a register for survey plans which detail specific information about land contours and levels. Each page of the register is divided into four columns titled; C and L no. [contour and level number, ie plan number], locality, description, and date drawn. The note on the inside of the front cover records the alpha system for the plans based on their size (alpha system; A - D, with A being the smallest size). The plans relate to the following areas in the Northern Territory; Darwin, Katherine, Batchelor, Alice Springs, Mataranka, Tennant Creek, Arnhemland [Arnhem Land], Timber Creek, Adelaide River, Borroloola, Snake Bay, Yirrkala, Berry Springs, Elcho Island, Howard Springs, Playford, VRD [Victoria River Downs] area, Avon Downs, Pine Creek, Moroak Crossing, Beswick Station, Tortilla Flats, Elliott, Edith Falls, Newcastle Waters, Hooker Creek, Roper River, Calvert Hills, Daly Waters, Delissaville, Powell Creek, Marlow's Lagoon, Maningrida, Todd River, Port Keats, Gove Peninsula, Glen Helen Gorge, Ormiston Gorge, Groote Eylandt, Bamyili, and Ayers Rock [Uluru].
