Function / Content

This series consists of survey plans referred to by the Department of Lands as the "DP" (Data Plans) series. The plans detail early Pastoral/Urban Boundaries, and show allotment size, towns, surrounding vegetation and how the country was traversed or plotted using a variety of means; compass, horse, chain, magnetic bearings. The plans have been certified by a licensed surveyor with dates registered. Scale has been documented on each plan.
