40 Buck, Robert (Bob)

Description

Bob Buck was born in Alberton, South Australia and moved to the Northern Territory in 1905. Bob worked for his uncle Joseph Breaden across numerous stations in Central Australia, and in 1907 became the manager of Henbury Station in the Finke region. In 1931 Bob was commissioned to search for Lewis Harold Bell Lasseter. Lasseter's body was found and buried.

Bob and his partner Molly Tjalameinta, an Arrernte woman, had a daughter Ettie Buck.

Bob died in Alice Springs in 1960.
