Function / Content

This series consists of a daily prisoners work journal recording activities and employment of prisoners both inside and outside the jail. The record book, completed and signed by the Gaoler, details long and short sentenced prisoners and total number of prisoners each day. The record book and microfiche copies were transferred to the Northern Territory Archives Service from the Public Record Office of Victoria in 1991.
