The register is organised by name of battery, with entries in chronological order. The sections of the register are separated by alphabetical tabs, but these only used to group the pages, entries are not in alphabetical order.

Function / Content

This series consists of a single register that records the details of ore crushed at the private and government batteries in the Tennant Creek region. Details recorded include the parcel number, bank lot number, date, mine, leasee, tonnage, recovery, bank weight, bank advance and standard mint returns. Some pages have had bank weight altered to charges, bank advance altered to subsidy and standard mint returns changed to net revenue and receipt. Batteries recorded include Peterborough (SA), William Weaber's Battery, Central Gold Mining Company, Fazal Deen Battery, Eldorado, Government Batteries Number 1-3, Mammoth Gold Mines Battery and Enterprise Battery.
