This series consists of survey plans referred to by the Department of Lands as the "A" series. The plans record the survey detail for the area designated, including portion or lot number, area of property, location of adjoining property and streets. The plans are certified by a licensed surveyor and include references to the file number, instructions, field book, drawn by, map reference, date examined and survey approval by delegate of the Surveyor-General subdivision application to the Registrar-General. A legend and azimuth reference are included. The plans are in a scale of chains/feet to inches then changes to metres to centimetres in mid-1972. These plans are medium size on tracing paper. The A plans numbered 1 to 1050 with dates 1955-1970 and are medium format survey plan.
