This series consists of loose black and white copies of survey plans referred by the Department of Lands as the "TBK" (Town Book Plans) series. The plans record the survey detail for the area designated, including the locality, index/reference box with number of sections, area (section, road, total), description and scale. The plans have been certified by a licensed surveyor and include dates and survey plan update details. The plans are in a scale of chains/feet to inches which changes to metric measurments of metres to centimetres in mid-1972. The small format TBK survey plans are numbered 1/1 to 2/49 with dates 1869-1937. Survey plans in this series are similar to those in the Survey Diagram book series plans but restricted to town surveys.
