Function / Content

This series consists of collated books of survey plans of Mineral Leases. Each plan has been prepared by a licensed surveyor and shows the boundaries of the claim in the application, natural features, buildings and data points. Each plan has been certified by the surveyor as correct in accordance with instructions to Licensed Surveyors under Act 388 of 1886. The plan has been certified correct by the Chief Mining Warden. Any alterations to the claim have been noted on the plan by the agency responsible for the change. Each plan includes information about the Mineral Lease number, location, section number, area, application number and scale.
