Function / Content

This series consists of collated papers of biographical material and a poster relating to women in the Northern Territory. The Women's Register was a national Bicentennial of Australia project which recorded information on the work experience, education skills and areas of expertise of women interested in being members of government Boards and Committees. The project within the Northern Territory was undertaken by Wendy James and coordinated by the Office of Women's Policy within the Department of the Chief Minister. Information within Box 1 contain lists of names put forward for the project; nominations not included in the project; the questionairre used for registration and cross reference details. Many of the registrations were withdrawn by request. Box 4 contains the master documents for the Bicentennial NT Women's Project 48-88.
