This series consists of a file of papers relating to the Licencing Bench in Central Australia. The files include a one-page guide to 'How to appoint a Licensing Bench for Central Australia', a letter to the Government Resident giving a list of nominees for the Bench [dated 08/04/1927], a copy of the Licensing Ordinance 1928 as well as letters and telegrams discussing appointments to the Bench with Home Affairs, Canberra. Also included is a request for information and a copy of the information sent to the Royal Commission on Licensing (England and Wales) in May 1930, reports on regulations in other states [dated 18/01/1929], applications for licences, and copies of two licenses issued on 25/03/1927.
