This series consists of files of papers relating to the Licencing Bench in Central Australia including minutes and the associated documentation, including correspondence, used for these meetings. This region includes Tennant Creek and Horseshoe Bend Station. Some files also include the meeting agenda. These meetings were held at varying intervals (including monthly, quarterly and annually). The papers on file include applications for new liquor licenses, the renewal of existing licences, the specifications and floorplans of proposed hotels and other licensed venues as well as renovations were being made to them and the notice of application for additional bar rooms. Also on file is correspondence relating to the establishment of a slaughterhouses in Alice Springs with Abraham Khan and Charles (Saleh) Sadadeen making applications for slaughter licences and permits to slaughter stock (07/05/1930).
